Hey– I miss you guys. I hate when a week goes by and I cannot get to my blog to write. I have so many things that I’d like to share so I’ll just start with running today.
Sunday Eric and I finally made it out to Clermont to run the 10 mile clay loop. I’ve heard all about this loop through the local running community but didn’t know how to find it.
Of course, we went after the sun was up and it was blazing this weekend. We went out with friends and had family over on Saturday night so we didn’t get to bed as early as we had hoped for, but that didn’t throw us off our game.
We rested up and left our house around 9:45am. It’s a good 40 minute drive from our house so We snagged some iced coffee at Starbucks all in the name of fueling. We started running at 10:30a, and did an hour run, probably about 5-6 miles. No running watches, some walking.
This loop is super desolate with zero shade and has rolling hills (for Florida) but really cool and a totally new running scene for us to explore. I’d love to go out as the sun comes up because I bet it would have a cool fog.
I’m excited to have found the loop and we’re definitely going back to run the whole thing. Anyone want to join?
If you’re in Orlando and want to check out this hidden running gem, here’s the Facebook page and address.
Have you run in any cool places lately? Where’s your favorite place to run?

I’ve just started training for three different 5k races this Fall, and I’ve just been running around our neighborhood. This looks like a really cool place to run! I live in the city so it’s hard to find big, open spaces.
