It’s Better Breakfast Month and if you didn’t know already, I’m all about breakfast!! Yeah yeah, it’s the most important meal of the day… we all know that, but it’s also the most delicious! This blog could easily be a breakfast blog because my love for breakfast shines through from pancakes to smoothies to eggs and oatmeal. I’ve got you covered in the breakfast department with the amount of breakfast recipes on this site. And now I’m bringing you 40 Plus Must Try Oatmeal Recipes!
At our house, breakfast is one of those times where we all sit down together. Because I’m trying to encourage good eating habits with my 11 month old son and getting him adjusted to eating solids. Eating breakfast is not only nutritious, it’s a learning experience for him AKA there is a big mess all over his body and the floor when he’s done. But I’m learning to embrace the chaos and the dirty floors because it’s life… it’s supposed to be messy.
Another reason I heart breakfast so much is because at my house it’s paired with coffee. I don’t know if it’s because I’m trying to make fall happen in Florida or what, but I’m all about a good latte right now. Yummy steamed milk + espresso. Can’t stop won’t stop. It’s just super comforting first thing in the AM.
But back to oatmeal. For those mornings that you need something quick and simple (read: every AM at our house), Good Food Made Simple Steel Cut Oatmeal will be your best friend. I love their Organic Original Unsweetened Steel Cut Oatmeal because I can add all of my favorite toppings. I love this product because the ingredient list is super short… filtered water, organic steel cut oats, and a pinch of sea salt {enter hallelujah emoji here}.
I just pop a Good Food Made Simple steel cut oatmeal packet in the microwave and then add all of my favorites which is usually sliced banana, almond butter, chocolate chips and almonds. Just the basics people.
But sometimes I get a little crazy with my oatmeal recipes like that time that I added zucchini to my oatmeal or that other time that I topped my bowl of oats with bacon and eggs. Yeah, we get crazy with it… but all in the name of good food.

I can find Good Food Made Simple frozen oatmeal packets in the freezer section at Publix or Target. Not sure where you are located but you can type in your zip into their product locator to store near you. http://www.goodfoodmadesimple.com/where-to-buy/
