This post is sponsored by Walt Disney World. We received two park hopper tickets in exchange for attending their media day promoting the Awaken Summer campaign. This was Parker's second trip to Disney World, all thanks to Disney for the media passes. Love that we live so close. We started the morning off at Epcot. Eric strolled around the lake with Parker and I took care of business at the Awaken Summer Media Day, ya know, hanging out with some of the characters. :) When I finished up, we grabbed lunch in Mexico and headed to Magic Kingdom. ... Banana Crunch Pops
Thanks to Produce for Kids for sponsoring this post. These Banana Crunch Pops are just what you need on a hot summer day, kids and adults rejoice! Only 4 ingredients and very simple to make! Place banana on stick, dunk in Greek yogurt and roll in pistachios and shredded coconut and freeze. When it comes to snacks and dessert in the summer, simple is best. And what could be easier than a frozen banana on a stick? I was immediately excited about this recipe because I love sweet and salty combination-- salty pistachios with sweet Greek yogurt and banana are so my thang. When Produce for Kids reached out about partnering again this year for their healthy eating campaign with Publix to support local Feeding America food banks, I was totally on board because ya know I'm all about that fruit ... Tandoori Chicken Skewers
These Tandoori Chicken Skewers are juicy, moist and full of that bold Indian flavor. The chicken is marinated in Greek yogurt, lemon, and turmeric and grilled to perfection. Serve right off the grill with warm garlicky naan bread. It was a kid-free Saturday morning, filled with food styling, coffee, cake (more on that later) and laughter with a group of lovely creative women from Orlando. We teamed up for a styled shoot to create this summer floral themed party. This was my first styled group shoot. This type of thing is popular with weddings but I'm glad it's happening more and more with food bloggers and creatives! My friend Rachel (our birth photographer) invited me to this Styled Summer Floral Party by Melissa Creates. ... View Post

This DIY S'mores Bar recipe post has been sponsored by Bounty Advanced Paper Towels. It’s DIY s’mores time. Yeah, that’s code for do-it-yo-self as in stack-it-up-just-the-way-you-like-it s’mores. Add a scoop of ice cream and sliced strawberries or smear some almond butter into all that marshmallowy chocolaty yumminess. 80/20 right? 80% of the time our diet should consist of healthy foods, but 20% of the time we should be able to enjoy foods that add some fun to life or are less healthy. I explain ... View Post

Grilled Top Sirloin Filets with Italian Salsa Verde
Grilled Top Sirloin Filets with Italian Salsa Verde.... this protein is all about the flavor. The bursts of lemon garlic in this sauce on top of grilled top sirloin is outrageously good and enhances the flavor of the beef. Thanks to the Florida Beef Council for sponsoring this post. I have to admit, if it's not pot roast in the slow cooker or ground beef for the stovetop or grill, I don't have too much knowledge on how to cook beef. But thankfully I don't have to have all the answers and be an expert in the cuts of beef to be able to cook awesome steak filets. The Beef Checkoff has done all the dirty work for me with their Interactive Butcher Counter, which explores every cut of beef and the best prep and cooking methods for each type. And you'll find lots of delicious recipes (and ... View Post
