This Strawberry Salad Wrap is bursting with all the goodness of the Spring season. Sweet strawberries, crisp cucumbers and romaine lettuce tossed with a zesty balsamic vinaigrette and folded into a spinach wrap. Can't get enough. I've been drooling over strawberries lately. Just can't stop eating them-- they are sooooo fresh and juicy and sweet right now I want to eat them any way I can get my hands on them. We have this great salad and wrap spot right by our office so on the daily, I've been hitting it up and have recently become a wrap convert. Routinely I've ordered a build-your-own salad but here lately, I've shaken things up and now the wrap is more my style. So good!! If you're in Orlando/Winter Park, you've gotta check out Eden's Fresh. This is the place where I've been getting ... View Post

The Desk Diet: What to Eat at the Office (and what not to)
Friends, happy Monday! Eric and I are knee deep in packing up our life and moving it down across town on Friday. We are excited about this new space but sad to leave our first home. It was a busy weekend for us to say the least. On Saturday morning Eric and I did the Run for the Trees 5K hosted by Track Shack in Winter Park which was so fun... race recap to come. Grabbed a quick breakfast and then made it back to the house to pack before we drove home to go to an air show with his family which was fascinating. I don't know how those pilots drive a plane like that. They would fly super fast and close to the ground, and then fly straight into the sky and do crazy flips. Serious talent and bravery. First thing on Sunday morning we headed to Fox 35 for a TV segment. I love ... View Post
Are KIND bars healthy? What to look for in an energy bar
As I sit here and enjoy my Starbucks coffee this morning, I am getting the influx of emails and texts about the latest warning issued by the FDA to KIND snacks stating that their bars are not "healthy". Before you stop buying these energy packed snacks with your latte. Let's first discuss what this warning really means. KIND has been using the term "healthy" on their bars, and that term does not come without a cost. There is a legal definition of what "healthy" is on a food label. Four of their bars do not meet this definition. There are regulations that a company must comply with when using the word healthy on their product or website, according to the FDA. For a food to be labeled healthy it must be low fat and saturated fat, low sodium, low cholesterol, and contain at least 10% ... View Post

Eric and I are trying to figure out what races we wanted to sign up for in the next few months. I want to do a few 5Ks and 10Ks and Eric would like to do another half marathon too. Does anyone have any good suggestions for races in the area? I’m kinda bummed we missed one of our favorite races of the year, the Winter Park Road Race. It’s a local 10K and was held a ... View Post
Weekend Adventures & Birthday Recap
Hey guys! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend if you celebrated. Eric and I left town Friday night and headed to our parents' house. It's only about 45 minutes away. Yes we both grew up in the same town :) We had a really great time and got to see a few of our good friends and LOTS of family. When we arrived on Friday night my parents had a little party with close friends and family. They cooked steak and we had a yummy wedge salad, and sweet potatoes. It had been way too long since I have had a baked sweet potato. Talk about yum. On Saturday we hung out most of the day and I got to spend some good time with Eric's mom while the boys were out canoeing the lake. The day went by pretty fast and later that evening we went for pedicures. Yes, it was ... View Post
