It’s DIY s’mores time. Yeah, that’s code for do-it-yo-self as in stack-it-up-just-the-way-you-like-it s’mores. This D-I-Y S’mores Bar is perfect for your next cookout for lots of family and friend fun.
Y’all are in for a real treat today. DIY S’mores with all the fixins. Genius right?
Yeah, I’m sure there are some s’more purists out there, but come on, have some fun, mix it up, and get messy with it. Add a scoop of ice cream and sliced strawberries or smear some almond butter into all that marshmallowy chocolaty yumminess.
80/20 right? 80% of the time our diet should consist of healthy foods, but 20% of the time we should be able to enjoy foods that add some fun to life or are less healthy.
I explain all that in one of my most popular posts, “Why Eating a Brownie Can be Good for You”. We’ve gotta leave room in our healthy lifestyle for dessert… and what better than a delicious s’more at your cookout this summer.
We enjoyed some outside fun last weekend with some sweet friends of ours. Isn’t their sweet baby girl precious? She loved getting messy. 🙂
On the menu… pulled chicken sliders, grilled green beans, sliced watermelon, and for dessert…
DIY S’mores.
I teamed up with Bounty Advanced Paper Towels for this post, ‘cause let’s be honest, life gets messy. Especially when you’re eating melted chocolate, marshmallows and ice cream sandwiched between graham crackers. With the quicker picker upper you to live in the moment and not in the mess. Hallelujah!
Before our cookout, I headed to Costco to stock up on supplies for the DIY S’mores Bar, along with other items on our menu. My little main squeeze joined me on the trip and he is like the cutest baby model ever, IMO. Ahh, I could stare at all that cuteness all day err day.
These Bounty Advanced Paper Towels are available at Costco and are super strong, durable and absorbent! Built for the messiest of messes!
So you may be wondering what did I add to my s’more? Well, I’m a vanilla ice cream gal, so gotta have that + strawberries are like whoa right now and a smear of chocolate hazelnut spread = winning combo.
I’d love to know, what would you add to your s’more??
