Thank you friends for checking on me about my terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day…
The i-phone was returned! I am thankful that the cab driver had a conscience. He called the hotel the evening I lost it, bartering to return it for an hour cab fare, then settled for fee from airport to hotel. I agreed to give him the money, I wanted my phone back.
The hotel was amazing! If you’re traveling to Philly stay at the Courtyard Philadelphia hands down. I had to go to a meeting so I left the cash with the hotel personnel. When I returned they handed me my phone and the cash back! The manager settled with the driver, and did not feel right about giving him my money to return my lost phone.
After this moment everything turned around for me and I had a blast the rest of the trip. I got to meet ‘face-to-face’ with twitter and blog friends, learned lots, and came home with loads of swag.
One of the best times I had was at the Daisy booth. I submitted a recipe for Caramelized Onion and Fig pizza* and they chose it as the grand prize winner! I was beyond ecstatic to receive the honor and have the recipe showcased at their booth at FNCE. It was really fun to talk about the pizza, to hear feedback, and to see smiles as people sampled the recipe. Thank you Daisy for a trip to remember!
*I made this recipe with a pinch of salt or 1/8 teaspoon, so cut it back to keep sodium in check! Sorry for the typo, it’s getting updated 🙂 Enjoy!

It really does matter what one needs in the food department and any hotel most certainly needs to be on top of this point. With families coming from all over the world, foods of many different types need to be available. Food can really be the testing factor of any hotel and if that is not at a good standard then people simply won't return.
