Happy Friday! We have another RELAXING weekend in store! Heck yes. Tomorrow we plan to do a little CrossFit in the morning and instead of the Mobility & Mimosas after the 8am WOD it’s Mimosas & Moving. CrossFit Orlando is moving down the road and they need a few extra hands to transport equipment. The new box will be much closer to our house, about 1.5 miles away, so Eric and I are talking about running there when it opens up next week!
Because it’s Friday, here are a few of my favorite things this week.
Happy Hatha Hour Bag by Lululemon. After much deliberation at the store deciding which color to get. {Thank you all for your help on this!!} I went with the black bag because I’m using it for my everyday bag for laptop and files. After reading your comments I thought maybe the white bag might get dirty, and the black bag is really classic and will carry though the seasons better IMO.
“Jesus is My Rock & That’s How I Roll” Tank by CrossTraining Couture. I’ve been begging for this shirt since I saw it on IG a few weeks ago. They flew off the shelves so I didn’t get to place an order until last week and was super pumped it arrived last night. I’m planning on sporting this at CF in the morning.
The Paleo Problem: Examining the Pros and Cons of the Paleo Diet by Precision Nutrition. This article goes into great detail about the science behind the Paleo diet. I’ve heard some of these facts in other articles and webinars that I’ve listened to but I think Precision Nutrition did a fantastic job at compiling this article because it’s very thorough. They spell out the recommendations really well in my opinion. I’m in the camp that most people don’t have to cut entire food groups out of their diet.. I mean come on life is more fun with cheese, fruit, and beans. I do like the whole foods approach, higher protein, balanced with low to moderate carbohydrate intakes of the Paleo diet, and agree that our society relies too much carbohydrates as a whole. For my clients, we often have to balance out macronutrients to fine tune their performance goals.
Apple & PB Smoothie by me. I love that you guys have been digging this smoothie on Pinterest this week. I’ve been a big fan of greens and peanut butter in my smoothies as of late. Once you start adding PB to a smoothie it’s hard to go back. Often we forget about adding healthy fats to smoothies but that’s what give them creaminess and staying power. I like the way that makes me feel. Another fav combo– banana, vanilla protein powder, almond milk, and peanut butter blended with ice. Talk about yum!
Any plans for the weekend?
