Thanks to the Cherry Marketing Institute for sponsoring this post. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, and it makes me all giddy inside. I usually like to start the holidays early by decorating my house to get me in the spirit of the season, plus with all the work that goes into putting up decorations they get to stay up longer! I’m already blasting Christmas music, and the baby seems to love it. Yep, sleigh bells are jingling as I write this post. Thanks Pandora. Every other Thanksgiving we go up to my aunt’s house in Alabama for a big family ... View Post
Maple Pecan & Ginger Granola
This Maple Pecan & Ginger Granola is savory and sweet with the perfect blend of fall flavors--maple, pecans, & cranberries. It's yummy topped on Greek yogurt and oatmeal! It’s been a while, but I’m glad to back. After attending Blog Brûlée, I realized how much I missed being a part of The Recipe Redux. I went through a funk with the blog and wasn’t being consistent with blogging and posting my monthly recipe posts with the group that I had to step down. That little separation lasted too long IMO, but let’s put the past behind us, eh? Every month on the 22nd, I’ll be teaming up with the Recipe Redux and posting a recipe based on the theme/challenge of the month. You can also check out the fabulous bloggers’ recipes in this group by clicking their images below. This month theme ... View Post
How to Use iPhone for Food Photography + Egg & Potato Hash
Warm up with this Egg & Potato Hash recipe this fall. It's just perfect for a comforting & healthy breakfast. This week has flown by, I cannot believe it's Thursday already! Last Saturday after Miracle Miles, Eric and I raced to our hometown to attend a baby shower for one of our sweet friends, and attended my grandma's 80th birthday party! We also got together for breakfast with friends on Sunday (they are having a baby too). We drove back to Orlando mid afternoon on Sunday and made church that evening a priority. It feels like we have been zooming through the week without slowing down much. If I'm not home for a day on the weekend, it makes it so challenging to get meals prepped for the week, and of course that also means food photography doesn't happen either. Booo. But ... View Post
10 Tips for a Healthy Tailgate + RECIPES
Who's ready for some football?? I know someone in our house is beyond pumped for the first college football game of the year, and it's not the cat. My husband has been looking forward to the start of football season all year long. Can you relate? I love Auburn football, and I support my UCF team and after that, I'm done. He's picking me up from the airport tonight so he will be missing the first part of the game #truelove. I have ulterior motives for loving the start of football season--> FALL! When it's a game weekend aka every weekend from here on out, we make a festive dish and I go out and do my thing such as shopping, decorating our house, or gardening. I can hardly wait for Labor Day weekend to begin because I plan to do just that! For those of you that will be going to a ... View Post

Cabot Fit Team Farm Tour
The Cabot Fit Team is a group of foodie and fitness bloggers that are supported by Cabot Cooperative farmers to help spread the goodness of Cabot cheddar through living a healthy lifestyle. Many of you know I traveled to Maine last year for the Beach to Beacon 10K and I was invited back for the Vermont City Marathon and Relay (I'll share all about the race in another post). I love this team because I love running, travel, and I'm a total cheddar snob, but most importantly I love this team because of the bloggers that come together and Cabot people that I get to meet and become friends with. When we first arrived in Burlington, I jumped in a cab to join the team for a cheddar sampling. One of my all-time favorites from Cabot (aside from their Bacon Cheddar) is the Alpine ... View Post
Quinoa Veggie Burgers
Hey guys and girls. I’m tired. Do you get like that mid week? It seems to be a theme for me because by Thursday morning I’m just worn out and want to sleep in. My life right now just feels like busy season and I cannot catch up. If you know me or have read my blog long enough, you know I don’t thrive in busyness. It’s like this world and its madness is fighting against my true inner self. I’m trying to stay grounded, but I fail miserably every time and end up right were I am today. Exhausted, worn out, and lacking luster. I know myself enough that during the time of plenty is when I need to take care of myself more. To dig deeper and really cling to what I know soothes, centers and calms me— massage, epson salt baths, hot tea, yoga, running, working out, eating fresh at ... View Post

We got back from a "long" weekend in Auburn late Sunday night. The trip went pretty quick, with all the driving, sightseeing, tailgating, and visiting with AUsome friends.
